Sunday Is Eid al-Fitr in the UK: Ayatollah Khamenei

According to fatwas of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei and based on experts’ opinions of the moon sighting committee of the Office of his eminence Sunday the 24th of May 2020 is first day of the Month of Shawwal and the day of Eid Al-Fitr.

Islamic Centre of England announce that according to fatwas of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei and based on experts’ opinions of the moon sighting committee of the Office of his eminence and others, Sunday the 24th of May 2020 will be the first day of the Month of Shawwal and the day of Eid Al-Fitr.

May Allah accept our fasts, good deeds and prayers. Happy Eid Al-Fitr.

We would like to inform you: Zakat al-Fitr has been set at £5 in the Uk this year.

Zakat al-Fitr is charity given to the poor at the end of the fasting in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Kaffarah Is the penalty that is imposed by the Shariah for the deliberate infraction of some religious obligations such as breaking and oath, the fast of Ramadhan and certain of the rituals of the Hajj.
