Call for Papers International: Conference on Qur’an and Hadith Studies

The second international conference on Quran and Hadith studies themed “Qur’an-Hadith Studies, Information Technology and Media: Challenges and Opportunities” will be held at Ushuludin Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, West Java, Indonesia on October 2-4, 2018.

1. Main Theme: Qur’an-Hadith Studies, Information Technology and Media: Challenges and Opportunities

Topics: Topics of interest include, but not limited to, the following:

– Methodologies of the Qur’an and Hadith on Media and Technology
– Digital Qur’an and Hadith
– Computational Program of Qur’an and Hadith Studies
– Qur’an, Hadith and Social Media
– Digitalisation of Qur’an and Hadith Manuscripts
– Emerging Technology in Qur’an and Hadith Braille
– Qur’an, Gender and Representation in Technology and Media
– Qur’an, Hadith and Popular culture
– Living Qur’an and Hadith in Accommodating Technology and Media
– Qur’an, Hadith and Popular culture
– Data Mining on Qur’an and Hadith Studies

   Paper Submission (max 5-7 pages): June 20, 2018
   Notification of Accepted Papers: August 1, 2018
   Registration : 25– September 20, 2018
   Final Camera Ready: September 25, 2018
   Conference Date: October 2-4, 2018
3. Paper Submission
   – Papers should be written in readable and plain English and between 5 to 7 pages.
   – Language: English is the working language of the conference. If English is not your native language, please have your papers read by a native English speaker, or seek online services of proof reading to improve the language of your papers. Please note that your paper is subject to further review and it may be rejected if it is deemed that English of your paper is not acceptable.

4. Publications
   – Accepted papers will be published in the ICONQUHAS2017 Conference Proceedings and be submitted to be published in an internationally indexed conference proceeding (Thompson Reuters published by Atlantis Press).
