Ayatollah Sistani Offers Condolence on the Demise of Ayatollah Saafi

Iraqi Prominent cleric, grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Sistani offered condolences on the demise of grand Ayatollah Lutfullah Safi Golpaygani.

What follows is English translation of the message of condolence from the Grand Ayatollah Sistani following demise of Ayatullah Saafi Golpayegani (may Allah be pleased with him).

In the Name of Allah the Compassionate Most Merciful
To Allah W belong and to Him is our return (Holy Qur’an 2:156)

It is with great sadness and regret that I received news of the demise of the divine scholar and the excellent Marjaʻ Ayatollah Shaykh Lutfullah Saafi Golpayegani (may Allah be pleased with him).

The demise of the nobleman who was one of the masters of Qom Hawza Ilmiyah, virtue man of his time, and exemplary servants of religion, is a great loss.

I offer my condolences on this great affliction to our Imam Al-Zaman (may our souls be sacrificed for him), great scholars, the deceased’s family, and other his respected fond. I ask Allah Almighty and All Powerful, to elevate his rank in Illyin, and to grant his family and devotees patience and solace.
There is no strength or power but with Allah Almighty.
