International Conference on Human-Animal Ethical Relationship in Islam and Christianity

The international conference titled “comparative studies of ethics in Islam and Christianity; Human-animal ethical relationship in Islam and Christianity” to be held online on May 8, 2023.

The conference is set to discuss ethical issues related to relationship between humans and animal according to Islamic and Christian viewpoints.

Two Muslim and Christian scholars are set to address the event titled “international conference on comparative studies of ethics in Islam and Christianity; Human-animal ethical relationship in Islam and Christianity.”

Dave Smith, an Australian activist on social justice and expert on interfaith issues will provide the Christian view on the issue. An Author, Dave was nominated for The Australian of the Year in 2004 and 2009.

The Islamic viewpoint will be elaborated by Sheikh Dr. Yahya Jahangiri, a university lecturer who holds PhDs in Islamic and Shia studies.

The event has been organized by Research Center for Islamic Philosophy and Theology (RCIPT) affiliated with Islamic Science and Culture Academy.

It will start on May 8, 2023, at 10 AM Sydney time and 15:30 PM Tehran time.

RCIPT was established in 1994 in order to explain and introduce the theoretical doctrines of Islam with a rational-narrative approach, recognizing and reconstructing the philosophical and theological heritage and responding to the intellectual doubts.
