Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Hussaini Shahroudi Passes Away

According to Ijtihadnet Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Hussaini Shahroudi, the son of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mahmoud Shahroudi and the writer of Manasik of Hajj (Hajj Rituals) and Drous Fi al-Ahkam al-Nisa (Lessons of Women’s Rules) Passed away at the age 94 in Tehran , Iran.

Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Husseini Shahroudi, a prominent and distinguished scholar in the Qom Seminary, was born in holy city of Najaf al-Ashraf in 1925. He was the son of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Mahmoud Shahroudi.

Ayatollah Shahroudi was taught the preliminary the lessons of the seminary studies by his father and the late Sheikh Ali Al-Shahrbabaki. He also studies some of his preliminary lessons under the late Shaeikh Shams Al-Zanjaani. He learned seminary books such as Al-Rasaa’il and Al-Makaasib from his father, and the book Kifaayat (Usool) from the late Ayatollah Uzma Agha Mirza Hashim Amuli and the late Ayatollah Sheikh Abdul Husayn Rashti.

In 1941, at the age of sixteen, he began attending Dars al-Kharij (advance level seminary studies). In those studies he benefited from Ayatollah Sayyid Mahmoud Shahroudi and his father. Since 1963, he has been delivering lectures in the Islamic Seminary of Qom.
