Int’l Conference on Extremism, Takfiri Ideology Held in Jordan

An international conference on extremism and Takfiri ideology opens in Amman on Tuesday.

The conference planned to discuss means to correct conceptions about a number of issues through which extremists try to distort the image of Islam.

The conference, which is organized by the General Iftaa Department of Jordan, also aims to strengthen relations among Muslim scholars all over the world.

The department’s secretary general Muhammad Al-Khalayleh highlighted the importance of the conference due to the current situation in the Islamic world.

The two-day meeting will be attended by Muslim scholars as well as experts and researchers form Arab, Islamic and other countries.

Participants will discuss in four sessions 16 papers means to counter extremism and Takfiri ideology and unify efforts and coordination to address their threats.
