I Wonder How Someone Says What Do We Do to Ahl al-Bayt, Qur’an Is Enough for Us

If anyone says, “we receive and follow the Qur’an, but we have nothing to do with Ahl al-Bayt, what do we do to Ahl al-Bayt?!, the book of God is enough for us”; we say to them, you mean the divine Book in which it says “but love for my near relatives”?!

Whether it would be the mention of the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt and the tragedies of Ahl al-Bayt, it is all about fostering the value of the prophecy [of Mohamed]; it is stabilizing the People over the Qur’an. Why? Because it is in Qur’an, “إلاّ المَوَدَّة فِی القُرْبَی,[I do not ask of you any reward for it] but love for my near relatives.”[1]

If anyone says, “we receive and follow the Qur’an, but we have nothing to do with Ahl al-Bayt, what do we do to Ahl al-Bayt?! “حَسْبُنَا کِتَابُ اللهِ, the book of God is enough for us”; we say to them, The Divine Book in which “إلاّ المَوَدَّةَ فِی القُرْبَی” you say it?! Can we then say that we have nothing to do with Ahl al-Bayt?! The Book of Allah, in which is the verse “اَکمَلْتُ لَکمْ دِینَکُم و اَتْمَمْتُ عَلَیکُمْ نِعْمَتِی, This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you”, you say it?! So can it be complete without Wilāya[2] of Ahl al-Bayt?! Do you mean the Qur’an where it has the verse “إِنَّما وَلِیُّکُمُ اللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ وَ الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا الَّذِینَ یُقِیمُونَ الصَّلاة وَ یُؤْتُونَ الزَّکاة وَ هُمْ راکِعُون, Only Allah is your Vali and his Apostle and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.”?! Or these verses are not in your Quran?!

So we must know that it is a great necessity for all, teachers with training and practitioners of eulogy with their manners, to understand them not to abandon the love of Ahl al-Bayt; everything is in love.

If we love Allah, could we not love his friends? Could we not love the deeds he loves? Is it possible for someone to be God’s friend but not to be a friend of God’s friends? Not to be a lover of deeds which Allah loves? Is it possible? Definitely, the one who said, “حَسْبُنَا کِتَابُ اللهِ”, his word is not a will and not anything else, it is a clear and obvious lie as if he says during the daytime, it is night or during the night time, it is the day.

It is like saying, “We accept half of the Qur’an and it is not accepted the other half.” If it would be according to the discrimination, most people are not worshipers at all, most people are idolaters. The religion of God is not discriminatory; you have to take it all or nothing.

[2]Wilāya (Arabic:الولاية) and its paronyms, literally meaning guardianship, are widely used in the Quran to mean administration and authority. Wilaya is essential to God. Thus, wilaya of some Prophets and Infallible Imams is a manifestation of God’s wilaya. Refer to WIkiShia.
