Halal Cosmetics and Personal Care Conference to Be Held in Malaysia

The Halal Industry Development Corp (HDC), an agency under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, will hold a conference on “Halal Cosmetics and Personal Care: In Trend” on Feb 16, 2016.

In a statement today, HDC said the event, to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will comprise workshops, forums and exhibitions.

HDC said the conference will showcase industry players, including manufacturers, suppliers, entrepreneurs and consumers.

“Halal cosmetics/personal care sees a newer phenomenon. Even small companies are starting to identify their products to adhere to Islamic principles as Muslim consumers are more aware of an alternative,” it said.

The corporation said the conference will also offer learning sessions on emerging trends and the latest in halal cosmetics and personal care industry.

“It will also feature product showcase by Clara International, SimplySiti, Shiseido Malaysia and Sendayu Tinggi,” it said.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will deliver the keynote address.
