A Sacred Alliance: Islam and Christianity must Confront Zionism’s Threat to Human Civilization

Seventy years have passed since the establishment of the Zionist regime—an illegitimate, occupying, and aggressive entity—and during this time, West Asia has witnessed some of the most relentless and bloody humanitarian crises in modern history.

Contrary to its initial claim of providing refuge to the Jewish people, what we have seen in practice is apartheid, ethnic cleansing, occupation of land and resources, massacre of women and children, and other horrendous human rights violations.

In light of this undeniable reality, the time has come for the divine religions—especially Islam and Christianity—to come closer together with a shared understanding of the threat posed to human civilization by this illegitimate entity, and to form a united front against this full-fledged deviation.

Islam and Christianity both draw from the fountain of divine revelation, and they share fundamental values: the call to peace, the promotion of ethics, the dignity of human beings, and the rejection of oppression and tyranny.

Both the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) are heralds of salvation for mankind. In the Islamic vision of the future, the awaited Mahdi (peace be upon him) and Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) will appear together at the end of times to establish justice and save humanity.

This shared eschatological perspective and salvation-oriented outlook form a divine connection between Muslims and Christians in the face of a current that has not only stripped religion of its spirit, but turned it into a weapon of war, hatred, discrimination, and expansionism.

The Zionist regime, through the distortion of religious concepts, has institutionalized violence and domination within its ideological discourse.

It is not faithful to authentic Judaism; rather, but has weaponized religion to justify the killing of innocents, the occupation of lands, and ethnic cleansing, thereby portraying a brutal, racist, and anti-human image under the guise of faith.

For this reason, today’s confrontation is not merely a political or territorial dispute—it is a civilizational struggle between two visions of humanity: one that regards the human being as the purpose of salvation and dignity, and another that sees him or her as a tool of war and supremacy.

In this critical moment, when the genocide in Gaza rages on, religious rationality and moral responsibility demand that Islam and Christianity draw closer, focusing on their shared spiritual and ethical foundations.

Such convergence is not only a civilizational alliance against war-mongering Zionism, but also a strategic step toward safeguarding the future of humanity, ending structural violence, and paving the way for the rise of a just global order.

Now, more than ever, the world needs the peace-bearing unity of Islam and Christianity to stand against this deviant path and rescue human dignity.
