2nd Shia Studies Int’l Conference to Be Held in London

The second international conference on Shia studies will be held at Islamic Center of England in the British capital of London on May 7-8.

The Islamic Center of England will organize the event in collaboration with the Islamic College of London and the Journal of Shia Islamic Studies.

It aims to provide a broad platform for scholars in Shia studies in order to present their latest research.

Accepted papers will be published in the Journal of Shia Islamic Studies.

Shia theology, mysticism, philosophy, law, and Fiqh (jurisprudence), the Quran and Hadith studies, Shia minorities, Shiism and Orientalism, and Shiism in seminaries and universities are the themes to be discussed at the scholarly event.

Last year, the first edition of the international conference was held at the Islamic Center of England.

The theme of last year’s conference was “Shia Studies: Past and Present”.
