Video: European First Eco Mosque Opens in Cambridge

Cambridge Central Mosque, in Mill Road, opened for prayer this week and has space for around 1,000 Islamic worshippers.

Costing around £23 million, the mosque includes features that will minimise carbon emissions – which the Cambridge Mosque Trust hoped to emphasise the role of faith in promoting “responsible management of the earth’s resources”.
