Pakistani Shia, Sunni delegation examines Iraq’s peaceful coexistence between faiths

The International Media of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has invited a Pakistani delegation including Sunni scholars and journalists to examine the peaceful existence between the various sects in Iraq.

The International Media of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has invited a Pakistani delegation including Sunni scholars and journalists to examine the peaceful existence between the various sects in Iraq.

Sayyid Saad al-Deen, Deputy Secretary-General for Media Affairs, said “ A special schedule was prepared for the delegation consisting of ten prominent figures headed by Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Akbar, Chairperson of Minhaj al-Hussein Foundation, including visits to the cities and Karbala, Najaf, Baghdad and Samarra as well as a visit to the IDP Camp.”

The delegation also met a with a group of Sunni and Christian Popular Mobilization fighters who are fighting alongside the Iraqi Army and the Shia volunteer fighters to liberate their country from ISIS.
