In this monumental book, one of the most important works of the late Sayyid Abd al-Husayn Sharaf al-Din al Musawi al-Amili, the author has presented the reasons why love and harmony must prevail between all Muslims. He has clarified the means of the achieving close relations and mutual respect which will result in Muslim unity and support for one another. He presents proofs and arguments acceptable to both the Sunni and Shia and advocates that they must build bridges of trust and brotherhood with one another.
Through his careful research, the author deals with the most important points of contention between the Muslims and explains the viewpoint of the Imami Ithna Ashari Shia, in accordance with what has been mentioned in the Sihāh and the māsnid books of the Ahl al-Sunnah which support the Imami view in order to eliminate all types of confusion or controversy and to live up to the clear ethos of the Noble Quran which urges unity and wants against dissension and disunion within the Muslim community.
About the Author
Born in 1871 in Iraq, Sayyid Sharaf al Din al-Amili hails from a family of prominent religious scholars. The spent over 15 years mastering subjects such as the Science of Jurisprudence, Philosophy, Exegesis of the Quran, and Hadith Studies. His quest for Islamic harmony led his to work at various fronts to extend an open initiation towards Islamic unity and to close the ranks among the different denominations of the Islamic nation. His life-long struggles ended with his passing away in 1957 in Beirut.
