Unique Sacrifice of Imam Hussain for Humanity is a book complied by Dr. Manzoor Rizvi which highlights many aspects of the great martyrdom and sacrifice presented by Prophet Muhammad’s grandson Imam Hussain.

It is one thing to acquire power through illegal means, coercion or tyranny. But it is completely inhumane and barbaric to terrorize the world around you for power. If we take the example of the despicable ISIS, the recent incarnation of Yazid and Bani Ummayad, we see that as soon as it grabbed a relatively small geographical area, the people started behaving worse than animals. Who with even the slightest amount of decency and ethical behavior would behead anyone for any cause or capture females for their own animalistic desires, attempt to destroy an entire tribe of people and their culture or publicly cut the throat of journalists to prove some insane point-all while claiming it on name of religion, in this case Islam.

The unfortunate truth is that Yazid was doing the exact same thing back in 680AD. He engaged in all these atrocities and injustices, claiming it on name of Islam while labeling himself as the Caliph of Islam to the people under his domain. Yazid knew that as long as Hussain was alive he cannot fulfill his father and Bani Umayyad dream of uprooting Islam.

Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Last Prophet of Islam, not only dared to rise against such evil and saving Islam in the process but the message fo all t he prophets, saints and good people of the world. Hussain stood for the principles of Islam, as taught by his grandfather. Which were against tyranny, oppression and injustice. In the process, he sacrificed his own life as well as the lives of his loved ones including his six month old baby however he was able to save everything that humanity needed as a result.

This book is a compilation of articles practically covering the purpose if Imam Hussain’s great sacrifice and his stand against the oppressive illegitimate ruler of the time bend on distorting all the fundamental tenants of the divine religion of Islam.

The hypocrites of Bani Omayyad and other enemies of Islam began infiltrating into the fold of Islam and plotted to change and dilute the tenets of Islam, which did not suit their way of thinking, thought they were unable to do so during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. During the period of first three caliphates these hypocrites managed to creep into the administrations of Islamic state where they were able to carry out their sinister, un-Islamic and immoral plans.

Dozy, the well-known orientalist and other European writers on Islamic history have well remarked when they wrote that the coming to power of the Umayyad’s was in fact a victory for paganism and corruption. In short, the teaching of Islam according to the holy Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad were being openly flouted and under the banner of so called Islam, pillage, murder and plunder were the rule of the day. Many a wavering were neutralized by barberry and coercion other by murder. One by one, the small party of pious revolutionaries of Islam, mainly from family of the Holy Prophet and his companions were being eliminated by murder and poison since the time of the death of the holy Prophet.
