All Universities, Students to Continue Protests against Genocide in Gaza: Najaf Hawza

Let all universities and their students continue to support such protests and let there be pressure placed on the Arab governments to put a stop to the genocide we are witnessing, said a group of students of Najaf Hawza in a statement.

What follows is the full statement:

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

‘Oh you who believe, fear Allah and say what is right’

Every human being has humanity and every society has a living conscience with which it sees the genocide taking place against the people of Gaza without any condemnation from the governments of the world. For these governments remain quiet in light of their own personal gains and with their silence they shall be counted as part of this genocide.

The recent protests seen in American universities calling for an end to this genocide and to the support given by the American government in killing Palestinians is proof that the world has woken up and is adamant in stopping the war crimes that are being committed.
We are proud of the humanity shown in these recent protests.

At the same time we are embarrassed with the Arab governments for their humiliating silence whilst they share so much with the Gazan people.

Let all universities and their students continue to support such protests and let there be pressure placed on the Arab governments to put a stop to the genocide we are witnessing.

As for the manner in which the American government has responded to these protests, this is yet another example of the freedom of speech in the west. As always, freedom of speech only is applicable when it suits their own agenda and is to their own benefit.

As the Qur’an states
‘What is the matter with you, why do you make judgments in such a way ?’
