Ijtihad Network Being Wise and Faithful Muslim in the Contemporary World
The Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei announced Thursday, May 13, the first day of Shawal and Eid al-Fitr.
The text of the announcement is as follows:
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful, we wish for the acceptance of the prayers and worship acts carried out by the dear nation during the holy month of Ramadan; we would like to inform that based on various reports from competent, reliable groups who have sighted the moon, the sighting of the moon has been established for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, at sunset on Wednesday (May 12, 2021 corresponding to Ramadan 29, 1442). Thus, tomorrow (Thursday) May 13 will be Eid al-Fitr.
