Kashmiri People Resist against the Oppressors, Follow Ahlul Bayt’s Manner

“We support the oppressed throughout the world; Kashniri people should resist against the oppressors and follow the Ahlul Bayt’s tradition. Today everybody is expected to be actively engaged in supporting the oppressed, and the Kashmiri people should not tolerate humiliation”, said Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani, a Shiite religious authority.

Meeting with a group of Kashmiri clergies, the Ayatollah said that the people of Kashmir would certainly triumph over the oppressors and regain honour and greatness by resistance against oppression and adherence to the motto which reads as “we never acquiesce in humiliation” (هیهات منا لذلة), and that honour and resistance are two important lessons to learn from Ashura.

Arguing that the revival of the requisite of enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong is the primary duty of an Islamic government, the Ayatollah added that not acquiescing in humiliation was the tradition of Imam Hussayn (A.S) and that we would never succeed in our battle against the enemies if we fail to follow that path. “As the religious teachings assert, living with humiliation is a disgrace and people must fight for the truth and the righteous cause”, he added.

Mentioning the conspiracy organized by the Britain and other arrogant powers in Kashmir and Indian Peninsula, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani said: India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh were traditionally a united region, but it was divided into different nations so that it would always be involved in divisiveness and disunity, ended up in the current situation in Kashmir.

“Having organized such a conspiracy, the enemies attempted to provoke the neighboring countries, seeking to undermine the Muslims and keep the regional countries divided; therefore, it is our duty today to resolutely resist against the enemies’ plots”, he added.

Stressing the fact that Iranians will continue supporting the oppressed, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani considered the main goal of Iran’s Islamic Revolution as saving the oppressed from the claws of the arrogant powers and articulated that Iran would support the oppressed.

Reiterating the fact that all Muslims are required to resolutely resist against the enemies’ plots under the current circumstances, he added: “We support the oppressed throughout the world; Kashmiri people should resist against the oppressors and follow the Ahlul Bayt’s tradition. Today everybody is expected to be actively engaged in supporting the oppressed, and the Kashmiri people should not tolerate humiliation”.

“The Almighty Allah has bestowed honour upon the Muslims, so they should fight in Allah’s path to defend their rights and dignity. We all need to learn honour and resistance from the Ashura event; I hope that the problems of Kashmiri people get resolved; I believe that if they resort to resistance and never acquiesce in humiliation, they will be victorious and their region will regain honour and greatness”, said the Ayatollah.
