Ayatollah Sistani: Firday to be the Last Day of Ramadan in Australia and the Entire Europe

The office of Grand Ayatollah Sistani announced that after sunset on Thursday 14 June, the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal with the naked eye for the month of Shawwal, in Australia and the entire Europe, has not been ascertained, therefore Friday will be the last day of the month of Ramadan.

What follows is the announcement of the Ayatollah Sistani’s office:

In the Name of the Most High
After sunset on Thursday 14 June, the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal with the naked eye for the month of Shawwal, in Australia and the entire Europe, has not been ascertained.
Therefore, Friday will be the last day of the month of Ramadan and Saturday 16 June will be the Eid.
We ask Allah Almighty to let this Eid be a blessing for all Muslims. Allah is the All Compassionate All Merciful

According to Ayatollah Khamenei Friday Is Eid al-Fitr in UK

Islamic Center of England announced that according to fatwas of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and based on experts’ opinions of the moon sighting committee of the office of his eminence and others, Friday the 15^th of the June is the first day of the Month of Shawwal and day of Eid al-Fitr.

The Islamic Center of England also announced that, the Eid prayer will be held at 9 Am.
