Ayatollah Khamenei Issues Message of Condolence on Ayatollah Amini Passing

Leader of Iran Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei issued a message expressing his condolences on the demise of the revolutionary, striving scholar, the late Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Ebrahim Amini.

The message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I extend my condolences on the demise of the striving, pious scholar, the late Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Ebrahim Amini (may God grant him paradise), to the holy seminary of Qom, other scholars, those who are interested in and benefit from his writings, and in particular to his esteemed family. This honorable scholar spent his entire life gaining and spreading knowledge and the Islamic teachings. He was also involved in political and social spheres. Furthermore, he was actively present in official positions of the Islamic Republic such as leading the Friday prayers, the leadership of and membership in the Expediency Council, and a member of the Academic Council of the Islamic Seminary. At the same time, his personal spiritual growth was a noticeable example of piety, virtue, and ignoring material attractions. May God’s mercy be upon this revolutionary, sincere, striving cleric. I ask God the Almighty to bestow His forgiveness and satisfaction on him.
