Shia Sunni celebrate graduates religious course

Iraqi Shia, Sunni Muslim scholars celebrate graduates of a religious studies course

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine held a ceremony to celebrate another group of graduates of the Imam Hussein Institute for Religious Studies, in Basrah City.

A delegation from the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority in Basra, and representatives of the Shia Endowment Bureau and of the Sunni Endowment Bureau attended the ceremony.

Amid a huge number of crowd, the ceremony was begun with reciting holy verses of the Noble Quran, followed by the national anthem of Iraq and speeches delivered by the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and by the Shia Endowment Bureau.

Baghdad and Holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq have been always one of the most important seminaries for religious studies.
